Peachy Burgers

This project is the culmination of all of my knowledge and experience in the gaming industry thus far. It is a VR Training Simulation known as 'Peachy Burgers', and was created in conjunction with The Endeavour Foundation, specifically for their clients. The overall purpose of this project was to help people with intellectual disabilities develop a solid understanding of the hospitality industry, so that in the future, they might have access to a wider range of job opportunities.
This gamified simulation took a year to bring to completion; but the end result allowed for a risk-free, light-hearted virtual environment for players to learn the fundamental elements involved in working in a restaurant, as well as some basic skills such as cooking, cleaning, and workplace health and safety.
My Contribution: For the duration of this project, I acted in a number of different roles within my studio. Primarily, I was co-producer of my team, meaning I was heavily involved in the initial planning of the project ideas, the coordination of our time and resources, and maintained our work through conducting weekly progress reports.
As well as that, I also had the role of designer, working with another team member to visualise, design, construct and texture all of the game's assets, from the equipment, to the food, to the restaurant itself. I was chiefly responsible for the development of the game's storyline and dialogue, ensuring that players had clear, concise instructions for each new section, and a constant feedback loop to improve their performance.
I was directly in charge of the testing phase of this project, including the design and implementation of our QA documentation. I maintained and organised the results from each test, and created many of our post-production promotional pieces.
